Pierre Leclercq has been appointed vice president and head of design at Great Wall Motors. Splitting his time between the company's studio in Baoding, China, and a Shanghai-based satellite studio, he reports directly to chairman Wei Jianjun. Toyota Yaris Hybrid in production guise
Toyota has revealed the first photos of the production version of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid ahead of a public reveal at Geneva 2012. We’re still not really sure we understand Toyota’s policy when it comes to hybrid cars. It’s clear they still see hybrid as the future, but they no longer seem to believe that Prius is a brand to promote hybrid goodness, at least not in Europe.
Chrysler is recalling more than 200,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs from the 2004-05 model years for a potential problem with the rear lower control arm. In states that use salt to melt ice on the roads, corrosion can cause the arm to fracture, which may lead to a crash. The vehicles in question were built between July 3, 2003, and July 14, 2005.
